2021 is a Great Time for a Chrondala Calendar

Posted on December 11, 2020 by Angie

We live in a world of order set by seasons and days and years.  Our world is not ordered and set haphazardly (as if order could have come about haphazardly!?) but set with purpose and goodness by a loving Creator who made this world for life to flourish.

Not only are the days made by Him, but the days belong to Him too.  What better gift to give our kids than to firmly ground them in knowing that this life has order which glorifies God.

We could tell them this truth over and over… or we could show them.  That’s what I like most about the Chrondala Calendar, it shows simply and beautifully the order of our days that everyone can see and understand!

I learned about the Chrondala earlier this year as I was putting together the Resource Roundup series.  I love to see fellow homeschool families who envision and create tools that benefit the homeschool community.  That’s what Mark and his family have accomplished with the Chrondala Calendar.  Mark sent me both the 2020 and 2021 versions to use and review.  After using it in our home, I recommend it to every family!

The Chrondala is simple to use.  Hang it on a wall in your home and track each day with a dot sticker.

You’ll see the flow of time through the year.  Each day has the date and day-of-the-week written in its block.  Weeks are separated by a thick line.  Seasons are one of the four main colors, and months even have variations of that color within the seasons.  Learn more and see it in action on the Chrondala Calendar website.

My kids have benefited from the Chrondala.  They can track when events are coming up.  They don’t endlessly ask what day it is.  They have a better grasp of the seasons.

I didn’t even know the seasons were confusing for my daughter.  We live in a place where weather patterns don’t flow in logical patterns.  It can seem like winter one day and summer the next.  The Chrondala has helped her see the overall concept of seasons and how nature goes through cycles.

The design and colors are pleasing, so you’ll want it hanging in your home.  The 2020 version was in our daughters’ room, but 2021 is already hanging in our school room so we can all benefit from it!

A new year is a great time for a Chrondala!  The 2021 version has over 150 stickers to customize events for your family, more than enough black dots for daily tracking, the same great colors, and an updated design.

Go check out the Chrondala Calendar website and consider getting one for your home!  It is a teaching tool that will build lifelong skills.  Having a visual reminder of the flow of time will help you to make the days count for the glory of God!
