Animals in Time, Volume 3: American History
Hop, pounce, flap, and bounce back in time with these A-Z animal adventure stories. Catch fish and plant crops with Bary the Bear as the Pilgrims build a new life in a new world. Dodge whizzing bullets and roaring flames with Griffy the Goose as he helps First Lady Dolley Madison escape from the White House during the War of 1812. And hike a tall mound of earth with Uri the Urial for a better view as astronauts of Apollo 11 shoot toward the moon during the 1969 Space Race. Kids will meet American heroes and artists such as Norman Rockwell, Andrew Wyeth, George Washington, Harriet Tubman, Booker T. Washington, Dr. Mary Walker, Neil Armstrong, and many others. They will journey through the history of the United States by learning how leaders, battles, and everyday folks have shaped the nation, from early exploration to the modern age.
Animals in Time materials work well for a range of ages. Kids in upper elementary will gain understanding of the events in history based on the abundant facts supporting each story, while younger children will connect to the memorable characters and their adventures. The stories progress alphabetically, which provides for the possibility of a letter-of-the-week approach.
Great to use at home or in a group setting! Also, each story aligns with the history topics in Classical Conversations, Cycle 3 (5th Edition).
Available soon in both print and digital for Volume 3: Storybook, Activity Book, Notebooking Tools and Memory Cards.
Find Animals in Time on the Let’s Learn Kids website and get updates on Facebook.
Fun characters and an engaging story bring history to life! I can see this being great for individual families and great for co-ops too!

Cycle 3 Complete Pack of Memory Work
The beauty of Memory Work is that young students often learn best through repetition, song and chant. However, many students benefit from something extra like hand motions or visuals. We started Memory Work when my daughter was 4, and she would ask me, with her cute little voice, what photosynthesis meant… I would open a book or draw her a sketch and from the love to learn with my little girl these coloring pages were born. I started with science and it grew. This year I am excited to feature Cycle 3 Complete Pack of Coloring. They are excellent tools to help solidify the memory work done at home. People often ask, “What age are these pages for? 4-8?” and I giggle… because in the process of making them I was redeeming my education. Color and learn for ages 1-100+. Enjoy!
Science Hands On Activity Journal
I also have a beautiful Science Hands On Journal. This tool is excellent for teaching the hands-on portion of science. With many families learning from home this year, you can continue to do the hands-on portion of science from home, with the ease of your guide and this science journal.
